GrainKit is a small farm-tools business. We're not a bank, we're not an ad-tech company, and we don't sell your data. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.
Who is responsible for your information. GrainKit is a brand of Linkedd LLC, a Montana limited liability company (file no. C1631496), 226 S Cruise Ave, Helena, MT 59601. Linkedd LLC is the data controller for personal information collected through GrainKit, meaning it decides how and why that information is used. Contact: hello@grainkit.online, or by mail at Linkedd LLC, 226 S Cruise Ave, Helena, MT 59601.
What we collect
Calculator and account information
- Calculator inputs. When you use the Break-Even Calculator or the Cash Rent Analyzer, the numbers you type in (crop prices, yields, costs, rent figures, etc.) are used to compute your results. We may store these inputs so we can email you your result, save calculation history, or generate a report you've purchased.
- Email address. If you use “email me this result,” sign up for GrainKit Pro or another product, save a calculation, subscribe to price alerts, or make a one-time purchase (like the Landlord Negotiation Report or the Full Toolkit), we collect the email address you provide. We may also receive information you include when you email us for support.
- Payment information. All payments are processed by Stripe. GrainKit never sees, transmits, or stores your card number, expiration date, or CVV — that information goes directly to Stripe's secure systems.
Farmer delivery requests and interest signups
If you use the delivery pilot, the request form collects the information needed to review and coordinate a load. This can include:
- the supply category (seed, dry fertilizer, animal feed, or general farm supplies), a description of what you need, and the quantity;
- pickup and drop-off locations, your estimated one-way distance, and your preferred delivery window;
- an optional pickup contact or role to ask for at pickup;
- your name, plus at least one way to reach you — email or phone;
- your confirmations that the items were purchased and ready for pickup, that the request was satisfactory at purchase, and that you read and accepted the Farmer Terms & Conditions; and
- the request's payment, priority, status, assignment, completion, and related timestamps and reference numbers.
If you only register interest rather than submit a request, we collect your name, email or phone, optional supply category, and optional general location or state. A delivery interest signup does not include a quantity, route, delivery window, or payment.
Driver and hauler information
If you register to haul for the pilot, we collect your name, email or phone, general operating area or state, optional hauling or vehicle type, your acceptance of the Trucker Terms & Conditions and its timestamp, and the driver documents the form requires:
- a driver's license;
- current proof of insurance; and
- vehicle registration.
The uploaded files and limited file details such as filename and content type are stored in private file storage for the founder's review before assignment. The current product uses a human review and a recorded status such as pending, Verified, or Unverified. It does not perform an automated legal-validity check, automated background check, or automated determination of legal compliance. A “Verified” product label should not be read as a promise that a document is legally valid or that a driver or vehicle satisfies every applicable requirement.
Delivery, support, and rating records
For a delivery, GrainKit records the operational history needed to run the pilot. This may include the assigned driver's name, contact and vehicle type; the farmer and driver capability-link references; pickup-readiness information; delivery status (such as requested, assigned, in progress, delivered, or canceled); completion and satisfactory-confirmation timestamps; payment, refund, payout, and sale references; and communications sent about the request.
If a farmer reports a delivery issue, we record the issue, when it was filed, its open or resolved status, the review outcome and resolution note, and the related financial state. An open issue puts the driver payout and farmer-side payment finalization on hold. Where the pilot refunds a paid request — for example after a driver cancellation or a resolved dispute — we keep a record that the refund was requested or completed. The actual payment is handled through Stripe and the related payment platform. Driver payout status is record-keeping only; payouts are currently sent manually outside the site, such as through Zelle or Venmo.
After the existing delivery confirmation and issue-review window closes, the farmer and assigned driver may each submit one 1–5 star rating and an optional short public comment about the other party. Ratings and comments are stored as delivery records. They may appear in public reputation summaries unless GrainKit hides them for abusive or inappropriate content; hidden ratings remain in the internal record and do not affect the public average.
How we use your information
- Sending your calculator results to the email address you provide.
- Delivering what you've purchased — GrainKit Pro access, the Landlord Negotiation Report, the Full Toolkit, or another paid product.
- Coordinating delivery requests, reviewing the route and request details, contacting the farmer or driver, assigning an eligible driver, and sharing the practical information needed for pickup and drop-off.
- Reviewing driver eligibility and submitted documents, recording the human review decision, and preventing an unreviewed or Unverified driver from being assigned through the current workflow.
- Sending operational communications, including request and payment follow-up, driver-assignment details, driver job details, delivery-status or completion messages, cancellation and refund notices, and support responses. A farmer's private status link shows status only; an assigned driver view shows the job information and farmer contact needed to coordinate the load.
- Handling support questions, delivery issues and disputes, refund decisions, financial holds, manual payout bookkeeping, and related records.
- Operating, moderating, and improving the pilot; preventing misuse; and keeping business, transaction, and support records.
- Sending occasional follow-up emails about GrainKit — new features, tips, or offers relevant to your account. You can ask to stop receiving these at any time.
Delivery communications and status
The current pilot does not have in-app chat or an SMS messaging system. GrainKit coordinates a delivery through the contact details provided on the forms, direct follow-up, and operational email where an email address is available.
- When a driver is assigned, the farmer may receive the driver's name, phone or email, vehicle type, route details, and quoted fee. The assigned driver may receive the farmer's name, phone or email, pickup and drop-off information, load and timing details, pickup instructions, and a private driver-view link.
- The founder updates the delivery status in the current internal workflow. The farmer can use a private status link to see whether the request is requested, assigned, in progress, delivered, or canceled. When the founder marks a delivery delivered, GrainKit may email the farmer a completion message with the status link and an invitation to report a problem.
- If a driver cancels after accepting, the current workflow can refund the farmer and send a cancellation/refund email. If a farmer reports an issue, GrainKit records it for Support/Review; the driver payout and farmer-side payment finalization remain on hold while it is open.
Who can access delivery information
Access depends on what is needed to operate a delivery:
- GrainKit founder and internal operations. The founder and internal operational tools can view farmer requests, farmer and driver contact details, assignments, statuses, payment/refund and payout records, disputes, ratings, and driver-document review information. The current delivery tools are presented as unlinked, noindex internal pages, and the product does not currently provide a separate account/login system for these delivery pages. An obscure URL or a capability link should not be treated as a guarantee of confidentiality.
- Relevant farmer and assigned driver. A farmer and the driver assigned to that farmer's load receive the practical coordination information the current flow shares: for example, names, email or phone contact, pickup and drop-off locations, pickup instructions, load and timing details, and vehicle information. Public reputation summaries may also show non-hidden ratings and comments after the review window. The farmer status page is a private token link that shows delivery status and does not show driver contact or vehicle details. Driver-submitted license, insurance, and registration files are not displayed in the public farmer or driver views.
- Service providers. Providers that help us run the site may process information on our behalf, including Stripe for payments, our email delivery system for transactional and account messages, hosting/database/private-file-storage infrastructure, and the site analytics service. They receive or handle information only as needed for those services and under their own terms and policies where applicable.
Analytics & cookies
We use basic, privacy-respecting site analytics to understand how many people visit GrainKit and which pages are useful. This helps us improve the site. We do not use invasive tracking, we do not build advertising profiles on visitors, and we do not sell browsing data to third parties.
Our live site may also use a small cookie or browser storage to remember referral or campaign information and support the user flow. The platform analytics beacon may receive a hashed network IP address, browser or user-agent information, referring URL, basic page/path information, and an analytics identifier. We use this for site measurement and attribution, not to sell information or build advertising profiles.
Payment processing and third parties
- Stripe — handles all payment processing for Pro subscriptions, delivery-pilot fees, and one-time purchases. Stripe has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your payment data.
- Our email delivery system — used to send you calculator results, purchase confirmations, delivery and refund messages, and account-related emails.
- Site infrastructure and analytics providers — used to host GrainKit, store delivery documents in private file storage, operate the database and site, and provide the basic analytics described above.
We do not sell personal information. We do not sell delivery-request details, driver documents, ratings, or browsing data.
Data retention & deletion
We do not promise a fixed retention period or automatic deletion. We keep information for as long as we currently need it to provide the service, coordinate or document a delivery, review support questions and disputes, process refunds and manual payouts, prevent misuse, and maintain business or transaction records. Driver documents are kept in private file storage for the current review and pilot operations; the product does not currently provide an automatic document-deletion schedule.
If you'd like us to delete your data — calculator inputs, email address, account records, delivery-request information, or driver-submitted documents — just email us at hello@grainkit.online and we'll review and handle the request. We may need to retain some information where it is needed for an active service, an unresolved dispute or refund, fraud or misuse prevention, accounting, or another legitimate recordkeeping need, and we will explain any limitation where appropriate.
Questions and support
If you have a delivery question, need help with an assignment or status, want to report an issue, or have a question about your data, email hello@grainkit.online. If GrainKit has emailed you about a delivery, you can also reply to that email. This is the current real support route for the pilot.
Important limitation: This policy is a plain-language description of the live product, not legal advice. The pilot's handling of identity documents, driver eligibility, delivery operations, ratings, payments, and communications should be reviewed by qualified counsel before scaling. Nothing in this policy determines regulatory status or guarantees legal compliance.
